What is Vertical Farming?

Aeroponics is a soil-free growing technique where plant roots are suspended in air and misted with a nutrient-rich solution. This allows plants to absorb exactly what they need, when they need it — resulting in faster growth and healthier harvests.

The aeroponic system uses a closed-loop vertical design that maximizes space, allowing you to grow anywhere.

Aeroponic farming uses up to 98% less water than conventional farming and uses only 10% of the land, making it ideal for urban and indoor farming. This method of growing is eco-friendly, recycling 100% of water and nutrients, reducing runoff and environmental impact. It allows us to grow nutrient-dense, fresh produce year-round for all-season harvests.

The Masons

A Little About Me

Lori is a 3rd generation farmer putting a new spin on the family farm. After over 20 years of traveling to Iraq, leading development projects for U.S. Department of State programs, Lori left international programs to combine her passions for agriculture and community development. She founded Springs Group in 2024, an Alexander County based nonprofit addressing poverty in her rural county. She uses the HorseshoeM Tower Farm to support her family and, eventually, to provide a revenue stream for Springs Group programming.
